This Kitchen Aid KSM150 Artisan mixer features "unique mixing action" -- one beater rotates in a clockwise direction, the other counter-clockwise, freeing you from using your hands to guide the bowl.

The mixer head tilts back for easy removal and replacement of the bowl and beater.

It comes with a flat beater useful for making batter, a wire whip helpful for mixing egg whites, and a dough hook for mixing and kneading doughs. These can be connected to the attachment hub on the front of the mixer.

The pouring shield makes adding flour, sugar, eggs, and other ingredients simpler and faster.

Like other KitchenAid Artisan stand mixers, this one is all-metal and weighs 28 pounds, rugged for mixing those double batches of cookies.
